Showcase Types  

We have divided the types of showcases that you can make into eight different types. Each type of showcase has certain features that they get by default and others that can be added. In addition, the default navigation page is different depending on showcase type.

The following are basic showcase types:

Business

A business showcase is for those companies that need all the features of Showcase Central. These showcases are for releasing product announcements, event information and future plans.  Business showcases are listed on more navigation pages than other showcases, including the main Showcase Central navigation page.

Smallbiz/Organization

These showcases are meant for smaller businesses or organizations that do not need all of the features that Showcase Central offers.  As with business showcases, smallbiz showcases are ideal for product announcements and event information. These showcases are listed on the main Showcase Central navigation page and the business navigation page, 

Government

These showcases are meant for all government agencies from local government offices to consulates and embassies. Government showcases should be used to give an overview of the programs they are implementing as well as a place to announce alerts in the case of an emergency. They are listed on the main Showcase Central navigation page and the business navigation page.

Tradeshow

Tradeshow Showcases are to highlight significant events within an industry. These showcases should be the focal point of other showcases that will be attending the event. This gives all participating showcases a forum in which to market their products and announcements leading up to the show, during the show and for the months following the show. Tradeshow showcases are listed on the main Showcase Central navigation page and the event navigation page.

Charity

These showcases are meant for all recognized charities. Charity showcases give an organization a place to outline their goals, to announce progress and to list upcoming events. They are listed on the main Showcase Central navigation page and the charity navigation page.

Club

These showcases are for smaller groups of individuals who are involved in an activity together and need a place to share information on scheduling and events. It is also a place where they can introduce their group and their activity to others. Club showcases are listed on the main Showcase Central navigation page and the club navigation page.

Individual

Individual showcases are for individuals who have a talent to share or a skill to introduce. They are ideal for actors, models and artists of all types. Individual showcases are listed on the main Showcase Central navigation page and the portfolio navigation page.

Pet

Pet showcases are a place to introduce and show off your pets. It is also an area where those individuals and companies that are involved in the pet industry come together to market themselves. Pet showcases are listed on the main Showcase Central navigation page and the pet navigation page.
